Deputies Soaked When It Rained During Impeachment Proceeding

A rain shower during Wednesday night's proceeding to indict President Jovenel Moise for the crime of high treason caused a flood in the room where the Chamber of Deputies were holding session.

Parliamentarians were seen running from their seats as several streams of water came from the ceiling. It was an embarrassing moment for the nation but still not nearly as discouraging as the situation Haitians are living in.

The economic crisis is critical in 2019, even for Haiti. And while $4.2 billion of a fund meant for development has been proven to be wasted in massive corruption and embezzlement, that implicates the sitting President of the Republic, the lawmakers in the lower house forced an irregular vote to dismiss the charges for indictment.
