The United Nations is failing to respond to requests from the Office of International Lawyers' (BAI) in Haiti asking for information on peacekeepers, mainly those who were part of the UN Stabilization Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH), who have fathered children with women in the country and have since left.

A report by Sienna Merope-Synge in OpinioJuris outlines the challenges being faced, not just in Haiti but around the world, with locating the men who, even at times through sexual abuse and exploitation, impregnate women and then leave without care, much less, accountability.
