Haiti to Lobby for Taiwan's Participation at United Nations General Assembly

On Tuesday, Minister of Foreign Affairs Bocchit Edmond joined the representatives of 11 diplomatic allies of Taiwan, in sending a jointed letter to the United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres to express support for Taiwan's participation in the United Nations General Assembly.

The letter comes during the official opening of the 74th session of the UN General Assembly in New York. The 11 countries that signed the letter are: Belize, eSwatini, Haiti, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Nauru, Palau, St. Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and Tuvalu, revealed the Taiwan Foreign Ministry (MOFA) in a statement released Wednesday.
