First Lady, Health Officials Hold Strategy Meeting on Fight against HIV/AIDS

At the Hotel Montana last week, First Lady of the Republic, Martine Moïse and officials of the Ministry of Public Health and Population (MSPP) took part in a strategic follow-up meeting to evaluate STI, HIV and AIDS related programs.

"The performance of Haiti in the fight against HIV / AIDS is not satisfactory," said the Director General of the Ministry of Public Health, Dr. Lauré Adrien. Although the prevalence rate has decreased from 2.2% to 2% over the last five years, the main challenge today is that patients do not regularly take the medications available throughout the country she said.
