Provisions have been made to ensure the safety of schoolchildren throughout the territory. Potholes throughout the streets have been clogged. The state is accompanying parents and students in public schools. These are among the guarantees from the National Police of Haiti, the Minister of National Education and the Ministry of Public Works on the eve of the return to classes.

However, just days before the start of the school year, the shortage of gasoline persists in the country. Some gas stations are still closed while in others, motorists and taxi drivers jostle for a gallon of that liquid gold.

The national police is mobilized to facilitate back to school this Monday, September 9, said the spokesman of the National Police of Haiti (PNH), Michel-Ange Louis-Jeune. Mr. Louis-Jeune gave guarantees that the provisions adopted in Port-au-Prince were the same for all the departments of the country.
