Moïse Jean-Charles Returns from Venezuela, Announces Remobilization



Former Senator Jean-Charles Moïse, the leader of the Pitit Desalin political party, returned from a trip of several days in Venezuela to announce the remobilization of efforts to demand the departure of President Jovenel Moïse.

Mr. Moïse, who served three terms as the mayor of Milot and two terms as senator of the Nord, announced the dates August 14, 22 and 23 for protests.

During the Monday afternoon press conference, Senator Moïse took the opportunity to denounce the alleged complicty of political leaders in kidnappings as been reported in the news.

On his visit, Mr. Moïse met with leftist political parties of Venezuela, Cuba, Mexico and Germany. He added that despite the poor relations between the current Haitian administration and the Venezuelan government, their president Nicolas Maduro said he would continue to stand by the Haitian people.
