Radio host Jean Myrtho Muraille returned to the microphone of 102.5 FM, Radio Tele Zenith, on Monday night after an absence of over two weeks. The enthusiasm injected into a Haitian population robbed of hope in recent weeks was palpable over the airwaves of the radio station broadcast around the world.

Senator Nenel Cassy (Fanmi Lavalas - Nippes) was among the parade of callers which welcomed Mr. Muraille, known well over as Muray Jeriko, back to the helm. The former candidate for Senate of the Ouest department under the Pitit Desalin political party brought encouragement to revolutionaries in Haiti.

Haiti's revolution, led peacefully by the opposition, entered its 8th week with casualties nearing 50 lives. Despite overwhelming calls from the population and all sectors for President Jovenel Moïse to resign, the administration had not resigned its powers but responded with violence against protesters.

Jean Myrtho Muraille was attack on October 22, 2019 while returning home in the early morning following his overnight radio show. The attack was done by serveral individuals within the Tet Kale administration which managed to obtain assistance from a person close to the victim. Muraille was treated for injuries including lacerations to the head.
