2016 U-20 Caribbean Champs received at National Palace

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti ( – On Friday, the under-20 men’s national team was received at the National Palace by President Jocelerme Privert who honored their dominance of the Caribbean Cup.

The ceremony took place in the presence of the top of the sport elite, including Sports Minister Abel Nazaire, President of the Haitian Football Federation (FHF), Yves Jean-Bart, Veteran and sports ambassador, Philippe Vorbe and Coach Wilfrid Montilas, in particular.

In his speech, the Head of State praised the performance of the young grenadiers who brought the country this trophy. “You are the Titans of Haitian football for the year 2016,” said the President of the Republic, who also received a few weeks ago the Haitian selection of the U-17 also champion of the Caribbean. He also welcomed the efforts made by the leaders of the federation to project a more positive image of the country outside. At the end of the ceremony, the Head of State offered an envelope containing a symbolic map of souvenirs to each player as well as to the officials of the selection and the Haitian Football Federation.
