NEW YORK CITY, New York, US (sentinel.ht) – Oprah Winfrey expressed hope in an America under a Donald Trump presidency and instantly found herself facing a blitzkrieg from Hillary Clinton supporters lashing out on social media.

Referencing Donald Trump’s White House meeting with Barack Obama, Oprah said she felt a renewed sense of hope for the transition and that everyone can “take a deep breath now.” She said she felt the campaign had humbled President-elect Trump.

“I could sense, maybe I’m wrong, but I could sense from Donald Trump’s body language even when he came out for the acceptance speech, that brotha’ has been humbled by this world thing,” she said.

After the comments went public, Winfrey was attacked for everything from her judgement to her success. Before the comments Oprah Winfrey was a vocal supporter of President Obama in 2008 and Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton in 2016.
