WILLEMSTAD, Curacao (sentinel.ht) – After Haiti’s under-17 team won the Caribbean Cup by beating Cuba [5:0], the under-20 team has won the Caribbean Cup beating Antigua & Barbuda [4:0] on Sunday. The dominance of the two teams bode well for a dominant senior selection in the near future and for years after.
With the victory on October 30, 2016 at Stadion Ergilio Hato, the under-20 team will proceed for the next phase of the 2017 World Cup in Korea.
On the road to the Caribbean championship the young Grenadiers beat Bermuda [0:3] on Friday behind the goals of Jonel Désiré, Ronaldo Damus and Roberto Louima.
Fast forward to Sunday, goalkeeper Jhon Paris continued his perfect defense. Roberto Louima and Ronald Damus dropped in two goals a peace.
As well as champions of the tournament the team took top honors.

Ronaldo Damus: Best scorer of this Caribbean Cup (6 goals).
The U-20 national team are heading to the final phase of qualifying for the World Cup FIFA South Korea 2017. The qualifiers will continue in Costa Rica from February 17 to March 6, 2017.
