Clinton, Foundation has ‘500 different conflicts of interests’

Samuel Maxime

NEW YORK CITY, New York, US ( – The personal assistant to Bill Clinton, body man Doug Band, wrote that the former President had “500 different” conflicts of interests at the Clinton Foundation. This was revealed a week after it was learned that the U.S. State Department had routed contracts for the $10 billion Haiti reconstruction effort, to friends and VIPs of William Jefferson Clinton.

18 days away from the U.S. presidential election and Americans won’t find this information on CNN or other mainstream media. It is being published by the international watchdog, WikiLeaks, which either obtained the emails through a hack or leak from within the Hillary Clinton or America campaign.

Doug Band wrote an email to Hillary Clinton’s campaign manager, John Podesta, on November 17, 2011. In it he complained about having to sign a “conflict of interest policy” with the foundation. Band is a board member and pointed out “oddly” that Bill Clinton didn’t have to sign such a document.

Then Band says that Bill Clinton is being “personally paid” by three donors to the Clinton Global Initiative. Clinton is getting many “expensive gifts” from these donors, “some that are at home etc”. “I could add 500 different examples of things like this…”

Band sent the email to Podesta within a month after the Interim Haiti Reconstruction Commission (IHRC) had ended its mandate in managing $13.1 billion in pledged aid to reconstruct Haiti following the 2010 earthquake. Bill Clinton was co-Chairman of this commission.
