LAWRENCEVILLE, Georgia, US (sentinel.ht) – A HazMat crew was called to the scene Tuesday where police say Hillary Clinton’s campaign bus had illegally dumped human waste into a storm drain.
Investigators with the Georgia Environmental Protection Agency have concerns that the waste has now reached several bodies of water and are investigating the situation. Human waste can carry diseases such as cholera, which sparked in epidemic in Haiti in 2010 when UN peacekeepers dumped their waste into a Haitian tributary.
Pictures obtained by the local CBS news station from an eye witness show the bus clearly marketed for the Clinton campaign and her efforts to have more people vote in the upcoming election.
Mark Robins said he saw wastewater dumping out of the bus and pouring out into the street and right over a storm drain. He added he captured pictures of the dumping on his cell phone.
“I don’t care who you are. That’s just wrong,” Robins said.
The Democratic National Committee (DNC) has issued an apology, calling the dumping an “honest mistake” and that they would be assisting in the investigation and a clean-up.
This was an honest mistake and we apologize to the Lawrenceville community for any harm we may have caused. We were unaware of any possible violations and have already taken corrective action with the charter bus company to prevent this from happening again. Furthermore, the DNC will work with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, as well as local and state officials to determine the best course of corrective action.
