Haiti Sentinel

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti (sentinel.ht) – Initial reports showed massive loss of homes, property and crops causing tens of thousands to be displaced by Hurricane Matthew. With respect to these difficulties, the President of the Republic, His Excellency, Jocelerme Privert, issued a message of sympathy for the nation.

The brief message was as follows:

My dear compatriots,
Former colleagues in Parliament, local elected representatives and dear friends,

I want in this message to share my sympathies and my deepest feelings of solidarity for all of you, your relatives and your constituents, so badly affected by the passage of Hurricane Matthew. I, with all the Government, remain by your side to help you through this difficult time our country really did not need at a moment so critical to our nation’s history. With greetings and respect.

H.E. Mr. Jocelerme Privert,
President of the Republic
