Haiti Inaugurates 6 New Schools in South-East and Nippes

JACMEL, Sud-Est, HT (sentinel.ht) – On Thursday, the Ministry of Education announced the completion of construction on six new schools in the South-East and Nippes Departments.

In the South-East, two schools, École Cité Lumière and École Colin were constructed in Jacmel. In Nippes, École Mayette in Côte de Fer, École Brossard in Anse-à-Veau, École Pascal in Plaisance des Nippes and École Masson in Paillant were built.

The new institutions are part of the 100 Schools Construction Project in Haiti initiated in November 2011 from a partnership hashed between the Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training (MENFP), the Fund for Economic and Social Assistance (FAES), the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the Canadian Cooperation and Switzerland.
