MIAMI, Florida, US (sentinel.ht) – Film producer, Rachelle Salnave, on Thursday went by the campaign offices of Hillary Clinton in Little Haiti to ask why the Democratic Party nominee won’t meet with the Haitian-American community. (video above)

Salnave, who produced documentaries, Harlem’s Mart 125: The American Dream and La Belle Vie: The Good Life, asked others to join in her call for Clinton to confront Haitian-Americans in the newly designated, Little Haiti district of Miami.

The Harlem native, Salnave, who now lives in Miami, told viewers different way to get the message out, even tweeting, on Twitter about it. A recurring hashtag, #WheresHillary, has been used throughout the U.S. presidential campaign for such instances.

She was accompanied by Winnick Blain who shared some of the history of the space which now houses the Clinton campaign satellite office. Blain’s grandfather, Viter Juste, was the one who coined the name Little Haiti for the zone.

The video comes about a week after the Republican candidate, Donald Trump, met with members of the community at the Little Haiti Cultural Center. Salnave did not go to far in discussing her views on the encounter but said, at least he came.
