KINGSTON, Jamaica (sentinel.ht) – Jamaica’s 2000-strong crowd Tuesday booed viciously as visiting Haiti defeated the home team [2 – 0] in both team’s final CONCACAF 2018 World Cup Russia Qualifier match.

Both teams were eliminated from participating in the 2018 World Cup after their respective matches on Friday. Haiti in a [0 – 1] loss to Costa Rica at home and Jamaica in a [0 – 2] loss to Panama at their home. Only their nations’ honor was at stake on Tuesday.

Haiti hadn’t scored in their five previous Group B games which made the loss to the Grenadiers that much painful for the Reggae Boyz.

With the win, Haiti jumps from the bottom of Group B to third place leaving Jamaica in last place, fourth, “rock bottom” according to the Jamaican press.
