PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti (sentinel.ht) – The Marriott Hotel in Port-au-Prince received a 5-Hibiscus class rating, the top rating, Wednesday from the Ministry of Tourism and Creaive Industries.
The distinction was given during a ceremony on the property. It was presented by Tourism Minister, Guy Didier Hyppolite, who handed the honor of the establishment a banner.
According to Haiti Libre, this distinction comes at the end of an investigation of inspectors from the service classification of tourist accommodation establishments of the Ministry.
“A lot of honors and recognitions for the quality of service offered have been granted to you less than two years only since the launch of your operations in Haiti. These testify undeniably your your great and tireless daily efforts to propel this hotel,” declared Minister Hyppolite to the Marriott representative in Haiti. He added, “the Haitian tourism sector can become a true engine of the national economy through standardized hotel infrastructure and of high quality.”
With this distinction the Mariott Hotel joins 5 other 5-Hibiscus hotels in Haiti. These are: The Best Western Premier, Hotel El Rancho, Hôtel Royal Oasis, Karibe Convention Center and The Inn at Villa Bambou.
