Raquel Pelissier crowned Miss Haiti Universe 2016

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti (sentinel.ht) – Raquel Pelissier was crowned Miss Haiti Universe, Saturday evening, during a televised live pageant at the Royal Oasis. Pelissier will now begin prepping for the 2016 Miss Universe competition taking place in the Philippines in January.

As well during the pageant, Cassandre Joseph succeeded Viannye Ménard, and was crowned Miss Haiti International 2016. Pelissier succeeds to Lisa Drouillard.

From 11 finalists judges announced the winners as follows:

Raquel Pelissier elected Miss Universe Haiti 2016 ;
Cassandre Joseph elected Miss International Haiti 2016 ;
Armelle Rose Williams, elected 1st runner ;
Danourah Bien-aimé elected 2nd runner ;
Pierrie Ganaelle Toussaint, elected 3rd runner.

Also during the evening, Dorothy Jean received the title of Miss Photogenic, Edith Elbrena of Miss Friendliness and Raquel Pelissier of Miss Popular.

Miss Universe Haiti :
Raquel Pelissier, aged 24, holds a Masters in scientific research. She speaks 4 languages and is an active and determined young woman who says she loves his country “Ayiti se fyète m, li dwe fyète nou tout pou sa chanje”.

Raquel succeeds to Lisa Drouillard, Miss Universe Haiti 2015.

Miss International Haiti :
Cassandra Joseph, aged 23, is a doctor and chiropractor, model and translator. Worker and very active she want to be the image of Haitian youth.

Cassandre succeeds to Viannye Ménard, Miss International Haiti 2015.
