PAWA Dominicana makes inaugural Haiti, Dominican Republic flight

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Ouest, HT (sentinel.ht) – Haiti and the Dominican Republic celebrated the launch of new connecting flights between the two countries on Friday when PAWA Dominicana made its inaugural trip into Port-au-Prince.

The Minister of Tourism, Guy Didier Hyppolite, hosted the arriving passengers of the Dominican Republic’s first international flag carrier.

The MD-80 landed on the tarmac at Toussaint Louverture International Airport at about 9:45 AM. The Pan American World Airways (PAWA) Dominicana plane carried Dominican travel agents and tour operators who took the opportunity to prospect in Haiti.

Minister Hyppolite welcomed their arrival and held a cocktail at the Karibe Convention Center. He encouraged the initiative and said it increases the possibilities of connections between Haiti and abroad.
