Haiti President attends inauguration of Dominican President

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic (sentinel.ht) – President Jocelerme Privert traveled to the Dominican Republic, Tuesday, to attend the inauguration of Dominican President Danilo Medina who was reelected to a second term earlier this year.

The President of the Republic, His Excellency Jocelerme Privert, was accompanied by the First Lady, Dr. Ginette Michaud Privert, the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Religious Affairs, Mr. Pierrot Delienne, Trade and Industry, Mrs. Jessy C. Petit-Frere, when he attended on Tuesday, August 16, 2016, the official ceremony of inauguration of the new Dominican President Danilo Medina.

This delegation left Port-au-Prince for Santo Domingo on Sunday, August 14 to take part in the solemn ceremony devoted to Medina for a second consecutive term for the presidency of the Dominican State. They would also participate in some meetings bilateral.

Alongside his counterparts from different countries invited to the event, the head of the Haitian government has received military honors worthy of his rank in the neighboring Republic.

The President of the Republic, His Excellency Jocelerme, return to Canada on Wednesday. But before returning to Port-au-Prince, the head of state will visit Ouanaminthe early in the morning where he will have to lay the foundation stone for CODEVI for the construction of a new industrial park in the border area.
