Hillary Clinton frees Democrats to vote Jill Stein

Samuel Maxime

ORLANDO, Florida, USA (sentinel.ht) – U.S. Senator Ted Cruz was booed off the Republican convention stage for not endorsing his party’s nominee, Donald Trump, on Wednesday. He didn’t say whether he would or would no vote for Trump either and told party members to vote “conscience”, not necessarily party. Hillary Clinton tweeted the same words afterwards, “vote your conscience”.

A loss of votes for Hillary Clinton will likely mean a gain for the Presumptive Nominee of the Green Party, Dr. Jill Stein. Politically, Jill Stein is aligned with Bernie Sanders and many had hoped instead of endorsing Hillary Clinton, the revolution would continue with Sanders Stein Green Party running mates.

Bloomberg reported in June that 45% of Bernie Sanders supporters would not vote for Hillary Clinton. Another poll found that 30% of all Democrats believe Hillary Clinton should have been indicted. There are a significant number of Democrats who don’t want to vote for the party’s nominee for their own reason. The Clinton camp has set them free.

Dr. Cornel West, a friend of Sanders’ who sat on the Democratic Party’s Platform Committee, said he disagreed with his “brother’s endorsement”. Before the Clinton camp released the tweet, West had already, himself, endorsed Jill Stein

Stein is polling at about 4% nationally and will need to reach 15% in order to participate in the presidential debates this fall. The press has not pressed Clinton to explain the tweeting of that message.
