MIAMI, USA (sentinel.ht) – Haiti is still reeling from a number of crises, particularly, the country is still without an elected president but that hasn’t stopped former President Michel Martelly from returning to the stage and preparing to release a new music video.

A preview of the music video was shared by his son, Olivier Martelly, via @BigO4Life and is a teaser of the “Return of Kompa Direk” album (not actual title) in the works.

In the teaser, Martelly appears in a white sport coat surrounded by dancers a la Gangnam Style and is performing at a posh night club. For many, his return to the stage is long awaited, for others, me, perhaps too soon.

The former Head of State intends to perform at the 16th Haitian Compas Festival this month and I have written of my distaste and profound sadness that Haitians living well in the United States will be celebrating with a man who has left compatriots in a terribly critical condition; Haiti’s economy decimated and the state crawling for existence.
